I have to apologize for a lack of posts.
The main reason is the new school year, with lots of projects to work on and midterms and such.
I want to share my latest endeavour. Here is the post from a new wordpress site I am working on as part of a campaign to save the Canadian Environmental Network.
Please visit the website (savethercen.wordpress.com) and PLEASE sign our online petition: http://www.petitiononlinecanada.com/petition/save-the-canadian-environmental-network-rcen/393
We are a group of students in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from Acadia University in Wolfville, NS. Upon hearing about the federal government’s cuts to the Canadian Environmental Network on October 14, we decided to take action. The RCEN is essential to the survival of about 640 environmental groups across the province. It was one of the world’s very best environmental network and was an example of a well-functionning, effective democratic organization. The decision that was made will not only cripple the canadian environmental movement (which is now needed more than ever!) but is a loss to all canadians. The RCEN was a way to get your voice heard. It connected people and communities across the country. It served to exchange information. It opened dialogue between the government and the population, in order to have them work together towards solutions that would benefit canadians.
So PLEASE, TAKE ACTION!
We have started a letter-writing campaign, as well as an online petition which is rapidly gaining impressive support! As I am writing this, we are approaching the 700 mark in our number of signatures.

But just signing an online petition is not enough! Write letters to your MPs, to the minister of the environment, to Harper….
We want to make this message clear:
CANADIANS WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS NONSENSE!
stay tuned for updates and additional actions you can take to help!
Meanwhile please visit our facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/188546574556708/)
